On September 14 CarNetNepal celebrate ‘National Children’s Day’ among the disabled students of Bageshowri Secondary School, Suryagadhi Rural Municipality-3, Chogate, Nuwakot. District Child Welfare Board (DCWB), Nuwakot and CarNetNepal organized the children’s day program and distribute sports and hygiene kits like: carrom board, towel brush, toothpaste to the students. Around 50 people have marked their presence in the celebration.
This year National Children’s Day celebrated around Nepal with the slogan “बाल मैत्री शासन, बाल अधिकारको सम्मान” i.e. “Child Friendly Governance, Respect to Child Right”. September 14 (Bhadra 29 B.S.) is observed as National Children’s Day in Nepal. On 14th September 1990 AD Nepal had signed and approved the protocol passed by UN Convention on Child Rights. To commemorate that day Nepal started to mark 29th Bhadra as the National Children’s Day since 2063 B.S.
